Story description: When Colonel Stephen Gailbraith begins faltering in his resolve to overthrow Fagar the Deliverer,  the head of the longshoremen’s faction conspires with the dictator to send a fleet to conquer New Terre and dispose of the “Idealist.” Gailbraith substitutes a potent intoxicant from the flagship’s water supply, seizes the spacecraft, disables the rest of the Earth’s ships, then takes off with his crew to deal finally with Fagar.
